make his customary call to his mother after his shift. The devastating news would later be delivered by his girlfriend: Robert had been shot and pushed from a moving vehicle. Around 11:30 a.m., authorities discovered his body in the middle of Florida Street in the Lower 9th Ward. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations later revealed that Robert had been abducted near where his body was found by someone in a dark compact car.
