On August 30, 2020, 30-year-old Christopher Ryan Fletcher was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 8:05 p.m., officers from the West Precinct responded to reports of a person down in the 3900 block of Todd Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Fletcher lying unresponsive in the roadway, having sustained a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel, along with the Jefferson County Coroner.
