In the late summer of 2019, tragedy struck a Birmingham, Alabama neighborhood when Erick Hutchins, a 44-year-old male, was found deceased. His life was cut short by gunfire on Friday, August 30, 2019. The discovery was made on the porch of a residence in the western part of the city, a scene that would soon be swarming with law enforcement.
