On March 26, 2020, Kahlia Duquan Sturdivant, a 33-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot in a tragic incident that left the local community reeling. The shooting occurred in the 100 block of 14th Street Southwest, near a residential area in Birmingham's western part. Police responded to reports of gunfire shortly after the incident and arrived to find Sturdivant suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
