On February 26, 2022, at approximately 5:55 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a shooting at the Forest Hills Apartment Complex on Tempest Drive Southwest. Upon arrival, they discovered two men with gunshot wounds. One of the victims, identified as 28-year-old Birmingham resident Nadarrius Lewis, was pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel. The other man was transported to UAB Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
