Charles Edward Smith, a 25-year-old from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically killed in a shooting incident on December 26, 2022. The homicide took place in the late evening hours, leaving the local community in shock and grief. Authorities responded to a call of shots fired in the 2500 block of 32nd Avenue North, a residential area in the city. Upon arrival, they discovered Smith suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
