On February 16, 2024, Terrell Edwards, a 38-year-old resident of Birmingham, Alabama, was among four men fatally shot in a targeted attack at a neighborhood car wash in the College Hills area. The incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. near the 900 block of Center Street North, across from the Smithfield Court public housing community.
