John Eric Cole, a 29-year-old from Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot on November 17, 2021, during his first day at work at the Samuel Associated Tube Group in Pinson. The tragic incident occurred shortly after midnight, and Jefferson County deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the metal manufacturing plant.
