On June 22, 2021, 50-year-old Brad Burt Doleys was fatally shot in Gadsden, Alabama. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of East Meighan Boulevard and Hood Avenue. Authorities arrested 37-year-old Joseph Edward Burnett in connection with the shooting, charging him with capital murder.
