In early February of 2020, the life of 18-year-old Sean Caribe Avant Jr. was tragically cut short. A male, he was last seen in Birmingham, Alabama, on the afternoon of February 6, between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. Reports indicate he was in a car with a friend before being dropped off at an undisclosed location. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing black jeans, a gray hoodie adorned with a tiger on the front, and yellow and white Jordan sneakers.
His family grew concerned when he did not return home that evening, and their apprehension mounted as he remained inactive on social media, which was unusual for him.
After days of uncertainty, the search for the missing teen came to a grim conclusion. On February 10, 2020, around 12:20 p.m., his body was discovered by Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies near Bayview Lake on Mulga Loop Road. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later confirmed his identity. An autopsy revealed that Sean Caribe Avant Jr. had died from a gunshot wound, and his death was officially classified as a homicide.
