Any updates on this case?
On March 20, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of a person down in the roadway in the 300 block of 74th Street North. Upon arrival, they discovered 30-year-old Devarta Dedre Thomas unresponsive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced Thomas deceased at the scene.
