Darius Scruggs, a 21-year-old resident of Aiken, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on May 9, 2015. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when officers from the Aiken Department of Public Safety responded to a call about a burglary in progress at a home on Brown Lane.
