On November 28, 2023, 30-year-old Devon Cruz Xavier Tricoche was found deceased in the South Fork Edisto River near a boat landing on New Holland Road in Aiken County, South Carolina. A fisherman discovered his body around 1:43 p.m. and alerted authorities. The Aiken County Coroner's Office determined that Tricoche had sustained at least one gunshot wound.
