On a Friday night in Aiken, South Carolina, a young man’s life was cut short in a sudden act of violence. 26-year-old Lafayette Williams was walking near the intersection of Pine Drive and Pickens Avenue on April 3, 2020, when a vehicle approached. Gunfire erupted from the passing car, striking Williams. The vehicle then sped off into the night, leaving him fatally wounded at the scene.
