Tevin Jackson, 25, a Black man from Aiken, South Carolina, was killed the evening of February 5, 2025, after gunfire erupted in the parking lot of the Springside Apartments on Springside Lane. The first reports placed deputies and responding officers rushing to the 6000 block of Springside Lane at about 7:24–7:25 p.m. after calls came in about a shooting.
When law enforcement arrived, they found Jackson inside a vehicle, unresponsive.
