On October 16, 2022, at approximately 2 a.m., a fatal incident occurred near the Empire club in Birmingham, Alabama. An argument erupted at a food truck parked in the 100 block of Third Avenue North, escalating into a physical altercation that led to gunfire. The confrontation resulted in the deaths of two individuals: 26-year-old Cornelius Quinterryo Kennedy and 43-year-old Carlos Antonio Stewart, both residents of Birmingham.
