On June 4, 2020, at approximately 2:30 a.m., 22-year-old Robert Lee Prowell Jr. was discovered lying in the roadway near the intersection of Lomb Avenue and McMillon Avenue in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding officers found Prowell suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day, June 5, 2020.
