In the late hours of March 1, 2008, a life was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. Carmeise Rekail Bogus, a 27-year-old Black male, was at the Bull's Eye Event Hall located at 1575 Bessemer Road. An altercation arose when a 16-year-old, Richard Lewis White, was reportedly ejected from the venue for displaying gang signs. The situation escalated, and Bogus stepped in, attempting to de-escalate the conflict.
