On May 15, 2021, 21-year-old Albert Griffin Jr. was fatally shot in his Birmingham, Alabama apartment. At approximately 11:15 a.m., officers from the West Precinct responded to a report of a person shot at 2326 Avenue S in the Ensley neighborhood. Upon arrival, they learned that Griffin had been transported to a local hospital by a personal vehicle, where he was later pronounced dead.
