On a Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 30-year-old Jonathan Edmond was tragically cut short by gun violence. On April 30, 2022, officers from the West Precinct were dispatched to the 700 block of New Hill Avenue following a report of a person down. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene: an adult male, later identified as Edmond, was found lying unresponsive near the roadway, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
