A Birmingham husband and father has died, days after he was shot in Birmingham.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office today identified the victim as Dedrick Jordan. He was 38.

The shooting happened shortly after midnight on Wednesday. Jordan was at a gathering in the 3000 block of Avenue S in Ensley when a group of men got out of a car and opened fire, Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards has said.
