On July 28, 2018, 18-year-old Herman Gordon Jr., a recent graduate of Huffman High School and new father, was fatally shot while driving his silver sedan on the Elton B. Stephens Expressway in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. when another vehicle fired multiple shots into Gordon's car. After being struck, Gordon exited the expressway and came to a stop at the intersection of 1st Avenue North and Carraway Boulevard, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. ...Read More
