Mark Randall Davis, a 20-year-old Texas A&M University student, was last seen on January 15, 2007, in Tyler, Texas. He was home for winter break and had recently changed his major from chemical engineering and economics to Spanish. Mark's family became concerned when they discovered that he was gone from their home early in the morning, having left behind his wallet, cell phone, money, and a note indicating that they would never see him again.
He took his father's green and silver 2005 Expedition mountain bike, which was also missing.
Prior to his disappearance, Mark had shown signs of depression and had recently visited a therapist, although the therapist did not believe his condition was severe. In the days before he went missing, Mark appeared withdrawn and uncertain about his future. He had stopped attending most of his classes, except for his Spanish course. His parents later reported that he might have been considering a move to Latin America, as he was fluent in Spanish and had traveled to Mexico before. However, he left his passport behind, and it has never been renewed.
Several unconfirmed sightings of Mark were reported in the days following his disappearance, but no solid leads have surfaced. Despite a thorough search and investigations by local authorities, Mark’s whereabouts remain unknown. His family remains hopeful for any news about his well-being, though they fear he may have taken his own life due to the contents of his note.
