Barre Kallan Monigold, 23 years old at the time, was last seen on June 17, 1979, in Tyler, Texas. He had been out on a date that evening and returned to a friend's apartment complex on Old Bullard Road. After falling asleep in the apartment, he was woken up around 1:00 a.m. to be informed that the dome light of his car, a blue 1978 Monte Carlo, had been left on.
