In the early morning hours of May 24th, a dispute inside a Birmingham, Alabama nightclub escalated to violence, leaving two men with fatal injuries. Shane Gady, a 32-year-old male, was one of the individuals involved in the altercation at The Quest Club.
A physical fight between Shane Gady and another man, Terrance Terrell Brown, Jr., led to both men shooting each other. When police arrived at the club, located in the 400 block of 24th Street South, they found a chaotic scene. Both Gady and Brown had sustained gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services were rendered at the scene. Terrance Terrell Brown, Jr. was pronounced dead inside the nightclub. Shane Gady was transported to UAB Hospital for treatment of his critical injuries. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Gady succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Sunday, May 26th.
As of the latest reports, the Birmingham Police Department is still actively investigating the incident. Law enforcement officials have indicated that they are working to determine who the initial aggressor was in the altercation that led to the deadly exchange of gunfire. Authorities have urged any witnesses who were present at the club to come forward and provide any information they may have to assist in the ongoing investigation. Due to both individuals involved in the shooting being deceased, there have been no arrests made in connection with their deaths.
