On May 24, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting inside The Quest Club, located at 416 24th Street South. Upon arrival, they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim, 32-year-old Terrance Terrell Brown Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, identified as 32-year-old Shane Gady, was transported to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
