In the early hours of a Monday morning in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 29-year-old Korderal Antoine Anderson was tragically cut short. On September 25, 2017, Anderson was found suffering from a gunshot wound on Ellington Street. The overnight shooting prompted an immediate investigation by Birmingham police, who soon identified a person of interest in connection with the homicide.
As the investigation progressed, authorities publicly named Cortez Lawrence as a suspect in the fatal
