On August 1, 2020, at approximately 5:33 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a shooting at 924 45th Street North. Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Marquette Milous Carter suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Carter was transported to UAB Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
