Antwain Lamar Lewis Jr., a 25-year-old Black man, did not die in a sudden moment on January 25, 2024 so much as at the end of a long, brutal chain of events that had started nearly two years earlier. Public reports say he died at his home in Adamsville from complications of a gunshot wound he suffered in a shooting on April 29, 2022, in the 4200 block of 2nd Avenue South in the Avondale area.
