Death by Force

On April 24, 2022, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2300 block of 7th Avenue North. Upon arrival, they were directed to Marconi Park, located at 600 25th Street North, where they found 40-year-old Urian Dion Woods suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue transported Woods to UAB Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
