In the quiet of a Saturday night in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 63-year-old Levert Mickens, a male, was tragically cut short. On the evening of March 13, 2021, Mickens was found shot to death on the front porch of a residence located at 520 Saint Charles Avenue. The incident, which unfolded around 10 p.m., prompted an immediate response from the Birmingham Police Department's West Precinct.
