On April 19, 2020, 26-year-old Jacqkingman Bennett was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound on the side of the road near the 1400 block of 88th Street North in east Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to a call around 10:53 a.m., East Precinct officers discovered Bennett lying near a wooded area. Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene.
