Death by Force

James Burns Jr., a 21-year-old male, was shot and killed on the night of September 19, 2025, in Birmingham’s Inglenook neighborhood. Police were dispatched around 9:50 p.m. to a residence in the 4300 block of 41st Avenue North, where they found Burns in the doorway; Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene.
