Tavaris Williams, a 23-year-old man from Selma, Alabama, was fatally shot on October 15, 2016, in an incident that left the community in shock. Williams was found outside an apartment complex in Selma, suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities responded to a call reporting gunfire in the area and arrived to find Williams critically injured. Despite efforts by emergency responders to provide medical assistance, he was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to the hospital.
