On May 28, 2020, 19-year-old Napolean Myron Ivory Jr. was fatally shot in Selma, Alabama. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on the 400 block of Lapsley Street while Ivory was walking with a relative. A vehicle approached, and the occupant began shooting at them. Ivory sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center, later being transferred to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
