In the early days of the new year in Selma, Alabama, a life was tragically cut short, marking the city's first homicide of 2025. David Lewis, a 34-year-old Black male from Huntsville, was fatally shot on the evening of Saturday, January 4, 2025. The incident unfolded in the area of Minter Avenue and Keller Alley, where Selma police officers were initially dispatched following reports of shots fired.
