On a Tuesday evening in Selma, Alabama, the life of 31-year-old Sharod Reid was tragically cut short. On October 28, 2025, Selma police responded to reports of a person shot at the George Washington Carver Homes complex around 8 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Reid suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, he succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
