On a crisp autumn evening in Selma, Alabama, the life of 32-year-old Devante Tashon Hall was tragically cut short. On October 18, 2024, what should have been a festive high school homecoming tailgate at Southside High School turned into a scene of violence. An argument erupted between Hall and another man, escalating to a fatal conclusion. As Hall attempted to leave the event, he was shot.
