In the quiet evening of November 26, 2021, tragedy struck the city of Selma, Alabama, forever altering the lives of the Blevins family. Michael Blevins, a 30-year-old Black male, was fatally shot at the Minter Terrace Apartments on the 2500 block of Minter Avenue. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m., casting a dark shadow over the Thanksgiving weekend. When Selma Police officers arrived at the scene, they found Blevins suffering from gunshot wounds.
