On the night of Friday, April 25, 2025, 23-year-old African American male Daquand Hall was fatally shot at the intersection of Church Street and Minter Avenue in Selma, Alabama. Responding to reports of gunfire around 11 p.m., Selma police officers found Daquand Hall deceased at the scene. This incident marked the city's sixth homicide of the year.
