In the warm evening of Memorial Day, May 29, 2017, the life of 30-year-old Jeremy Thompson was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. A Caucasian male, Jeremy was a father and a son, known by his loved ones for his good nature. He had a history of struggling with addiction, which at times led to him living on the streets. It was during one of these periods that he found himself at the intersection of I-59 and Avenue I.
