Jeremy Thompson was shot in the back while walking away from a confrontation with individuals in a vehicle at Avenue I and 20/59 in Birmingham.
30-year-old Jeremy Thompson was a son and a father who had a daughter and family that loved him dearly. Like most southerners, he grew up enjoying sports and the outdoors. Unfortunately, as he got older, Jeremy became addicted to heroin and struggled to break free of the addiction, which occasionally caused Jeremy to live on the streets for extended periods of time.
