On August 19, 2019, 18-year-old Calvin De'onte Vance was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred just after 8:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Gulfport Street in the Wylam neighborhood. Upon arrival, Birmingham Police found Vance deceased at the scene.

Subsequent investigations revealed that Vance was attempting to commit a robbery at the time of the shooting. Detectives presented their findings to the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, which reviewed the case a ...Read More
