On a Christmas evening that should have been filled with warmth and celebration, a wave of violence cut short the life of 26-year-old Exavier Tywan Mitchell. The young man was in the parking lot of a Dollar General in Birmingham, Alabama, on December 25, 2023, when he was struck by a barrage of gunfire.
