On December 25, 2023, 26-year-old Exavier Tywan Mitchell was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a Dollar General store located at 2314 Bessemer Road. According to reports, Mitchell was sitting inside a parked SUV when an unknown individual approached and opened fire on the vehicle.
