Death by Force

On August 5, 2021, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Birmingham police officers responded to reports of gunfire at a residence in the 1000 block of 42nd Place North. Upon entering the home, they discovered 66-year-old Ellis Lewis Embry lying unresponsive in the hallway, suffering from a gunshot wound. Further inspection revealed 49-year-old Timothy Lashawn Erby deceased in the kitchen, also from a gunshot wound. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
