On June 11, 2022, at approximately 4:40 PM, Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 7500 block of 66th Courtway South, located in the Marks Village public housing community of Gate City. Upon arrival, they discovered 43-year-old Morrion Montrie Hamilton suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
