On a spring evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 17-year-old Darryl Jay Palmore was tragically cut short. On May 12, 2009, Palmore, a resident of the Wylam neighborhood, was fatally wounded by gunfire. The incident left his family and community mourning the loss of a young man. He was a member of the St. Paul AME Church of Wylam.
