On September 4, 2021, at approximately 4:05 p.m., an altercation erupted inside the Superior for Men store located at 9164 Parkway East in Birmingham, Alabama. The confrontation escalated into gunfire, resulting in the deaths of 26-year-old Reginald Curtis Crawford Jr. and 21-year-old Cornelius Ja’Shawn Hilliard. Two additional individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
