Samuel Craig, a 22-year-old from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically killed on September 1, 2009, in what police later determined to be a homicide. Craig's death occurred in the early morning hours, when he was found shot multiple times in the 500 block of 5th Avenue West, a neighborhood in Birmingham known for its mix of residential and commercial properties.
