Willie Stevens, a 30-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama on the evening of March 4, 2015. The incident that led to his death began with a dispute at a convenience store and tragically escalated. Stevens was reportedly involved in a confrontation with Carlos Heard, the new boyfriend of Stevens' ex-girlfriend.
