On August 5, 2019, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a person lying in the roadway on the 9900 block of Turner Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 21-year-old Brandon Rosario unresponsive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue, along with the Jefferson County Coroner, pronounced Rosario deceased at the scene.
