On May 13, 2021, Jonathan Hunter Martin, a 31-year-old African American male from Birmingham, Alabama, tragically lost his life in a vehicular accident on Interstate 59/20. According to reports, he was a passenger in a Ford Explorer traveling southbound between Arkadelphia Road and Bush Boulevard when the vehicle collided with a semi-truck parked on the shoulder.
