On May 13, 2021, Jonathan Hunter Martin, a 31-year-old Birmingham resident, tragically lost his life in a vehicle accident on Interstate 59/20. The incident occurred around 4:48 p.m. when the Ford Explorer in which Martin was a passenger collided with a parked 18-wheeler near Arkadelphia Road and Bush Boulevard.
